What we do

The Olney Conducting Workshops are led by distinguished conductor, composer and teacher Michael Rose OBE.

They are aimed a wide range of conductors: professional musicians, music students, teachers and conductors of youth and amateur orchestras. (Our participants have ranged in age from 17 to 65+, with observers as young as 10.) We also plan courses for more advanced students and for beginners.

We run weekend workshops, which usually cover three works, and study days which aim to address a specific issue or to study a single large work in depth.

The Olney Conducting Workshops are managed by Catherine Rose's Office Ltd., and normally take place in the Olney Centre, High Street, Olney, Bucks.
