Ben Westlake is BBC Young Musician Woodwind Finalist
Both Michael and one of OCW's students, Ben Westlake, will appear on the Young Musician of the Year on 7th May at 7.30 on BBC4. Ben, whoc reached the fianl as a clarinettist, will be shown having a conducting lesson with Michael in our home in Olney. Jess Cottis BBCSSO contract extended
We are delighted to announce that Jessica Cottis, who is both a former student on our Weekend Workshops and a private pupil of Michael's, has had her appointment as Assistant Conductor to Donald Runnicles at the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra extended. She is also Manson Fellow at the Royal Academy, where she has been studying as a postgradute. We send our warmest congratulations to Jess on her well-deserved success.
